Major issues that can be downfall of the of Employee - employer relationship of an organization
The
relationship between employee and employer is very important in modern business
industry. Success and the growth of a business organization is mainly depend on
the relationship between employer and the employee.
Lack
of respect and trust
Organizational trust can be established if
management develops a pattern of behavioral consistency, behavioral integrity,
sharing of control, effective communication and demonstration of concern for
employees. According to (Hunt et al, 2009) trust and respect
are earned by an employer through open communication, consistent feedback and
delegation of responsibilities to the staff. When the employer fail to accord
with the elements of trust and respect will eventually also put a negative
strain on the relationship.
The
High Rate of Inflation
Because
of the increment of the inflation rate, the standard of living has increased.
As a result of that work force demand higher benefits according to the cost of
living. Because of that the relationship between employer-employee breakdown.
Labor
Laws
Labor
lows were designed to protect workers against unfair treatment by their
employers. Daft and Marcic (2010) advise business owners to never allow a
negative relationship to exist between themselves and their staff. If the
negative relationship is increased the productivity levels of the organization
decrease. (Xesha, et al, 2014) Stated that it is
important for the employer to ensure that they comply with these laws or face
penalties and a demise of the relationship they have with the staff.
Job
Satisfaction
Yang
et al, (2011) states that personnel factors, such as age, health, and length of
job experience, emotional stability, social status, family and other social relationships
can also affect job satisfaction. Job satisfaction as an accurate indicator of
good relationships between the employer and the employees.
